It works really well.

Saved my fireplace

We are remodeling our basement. We have a red brick fireplace with about 30 years' of creosote and black soot caked on the hearth. I want to keep the fireplace, but my husband said the only way we keep it is if I can find a way to clean it. After researching the problem online, I found this product and decided to give it a try. WOW! After approx 2.5 hours of soaking and scrubbing, I am so proud to say it is almost as good as new. I want to try one more application on the white mortar, but the bricks are excellent now. Thank you so much!

Unbelievable

I had to clean a 50+ year old brick hearth that was black in spots with soot build-up. Using the instructions on the web site, the hearth looks like it was constructed yesterday. Amazing. Don't rush it - leave the paste on for 15-20 minutes undisturbed. A little difficult to get rinsed off - but worth every bit of work. Simplygood stuff is great stuff.

IT'S FANTASTIC

I thought Quick N Brite was gone. Local store quit carrying it years ago. Didn't search the web until recently. As soon as all my other cleaners are used up, this will be the only thing in my cleaning cabinet!

Q: How much quick n brite paste will I need to clean a soot filled fire place box?

A: It depends how big it is, and how much black stuff is coating it. As a general rule of thumb, a little bit goes a long way because it's super concentrated. The good thing about Quick n Brite vs. other options is that it's also good for hundreds of other jobs, so if you have some left over, you'll have plenty of chances to use it up.
