The vertical support positions the splash guard holder above one side while leaving the bright light on the opposite side, completely unobstructed. When the mister is running, some splashing may occur along with the mist production, but blocking the overspray is easily accomplished with this part and a small dome of some sort to sit up top. As an added bonus, it also enables you to perfectly positon the mister under the water, in the exact spot you want it. Use this part to fix a broken misting fountain, replace a lost piece, or design and build your own misting water feature from scratch.
