California Ranch Burger Recipe

Cooking and prep time: 30 mins
Servings: 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs. extra lean ground beef
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1/8 cup of grated romano cheese
  • 12 large mushrooms
  • 2 large yellow onions
  • 4 slices muenster cheese
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 1 box alfalfa sprouts
  • 2 large avocados
  • 1/2 head lettuce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 4 medium pita pockets
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup beer

Preparation:
Pour 1/2 cup of beer into the flavor ring and preheat your Stove Top Grill on medium heat. Slice mushrooms and onions into thin slices and grill until onions are tender. Add salt and pepper to taste. Remove and set aside to cool.

In a bowl, mix ground beef, raw eggs, grated cheese, grilled veggies, and all seasonings and mix well. Make 6 patties out of mixture and place on preheated grill. Grill the burgers about 6 minutes per side until golden brown. Add muenster cheese slices about 1 minute before burgers are done. Remove from grill and place one in each pita pocket. Fill pocket with alfalfa sprouts, lettuce, tomato slices, avocado and pour on ranch dressing to taste.

Comments:
Always cook meat to the point of being well done to ensure the meats are safe to eat.

Substitutions:
If you so choose, you may use ground turkey, or veggie patties.
