Ingredients:
- 3 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 quart apple cider
- 1/8 cup of black strap molasses
- 1/8 cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup of ketchup
- 1/4 cup of honey
- 1/8 cup of soy sauce
- 1/4 cup of mustard
- 6-8 cloves of garlic (minced)
- sea salt and pepper to taste
- 1 med onion
- 2 tblsp Thai chile sauce (optional)
Preparation:
Bring 6 quarts of apple cider to a boil and add ribs. Cook ribs until
meat turns gray in color. Remove from cider, wash, and let
sit for 20 mins. Pour 1/2 cup of remaining apple cider into
flavor ring of your Stove Top Grill. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Add water and liquid smoke to flavor ring. Mix the ketchup,
honey, molasses, brown sugar, soy sauce, mustard, garlic, salt
and pepper, onions, Thai chile sauce together in a bowl. Dip
or brush liberally over ribs. Place on grill and cook in the
oven for 45 mins. Finish by broiling the ribs until they are
golden brown on the surface.
Comments:
Homemade baked beans, cole slaw or potato salad are the perfect side
dishes.
Substitutions:
If you so choose, you may use the BBQ sauce of your choice. |
